Boschi Di Stefano |
| The Casa Museo Boschi Di Stefano was born of the generosity of Antonio Boschi and Marieda Di Stefano, who, in 1973, donated their contemporary art collection to the City of Milan with the proviso that a museum would be opened in the family’s apartment in via Jan 15 in a building designed by the architect Portaluppi. The collection ranges from the Futurism to the 1950s with works by Soffici, Boccioni, Sironi, Severini and Dottori, and the “Novecento italiano”, by Mario Sironi (to whom one room is entirely dedicated), Morandi, De Pisis and “Corrente,”
and Lombard “chiarismo.” In the central room, works of de Chirico, Campigli, Savinio and Paresce reconstruct the Italian contribution to the artistic fervor of the 1930s in Paris.
To Lucio Fontana is entirely dedicated another room. In the last room are the most recent acquisitions, including a series of Achrome by Piero Manzoni. |
