Long beloved melodies of the most known artists again resound in the Grand Salon of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum. From J. S. Bach a G. B. Fontana, da A. Forqueray a J. Van Eyck, seventeenth century notes characterize the return of the collaboration between the museum and the Homage to the Harpsichord association. A weekly appointment on Sunday afternoons, the music will float around the museum, creating a timeless atmosphere for the museum visitors exploring the rooms.

The initiative is organized together with Homage to the Harpsichord (Omaggio al Clavicembalo), an association, which since 1980 is dedicated to the dissemination of the repertoire for this instrument, in Italy and abroad. The association marries its members’ great passion for centuries old music and their enthusiasm, creating the happy conditions for realizing – in Italy and abroad – hundreds of concerts with the most heterogenous formation: soloists, multiple harpsichords, period instruments, voice and string orchestras. For many years, now, the activity of the association is dedicated to the harpsichordist Federico Colombo, who was a student of Marina Mauriello, but who passed away prematurely.

The initiative is realized with the support of the Region of Lombardy.

The cost of the concert is included in the museum entrance fee; there is no extra charge. Reservations are obligatory here.

Seating is limited, and has been arranged in order to keep the social distance of one meter between attendees. At the entrance of the museum, body temperature will be taken. If it is above 37°C / 98.6°F, entrance will not be permitted. Properly wearing a surgical mask for the entire stay in the museum is required.
